That Keeps Up
A powerful car isn’t special unless it can handle well—and that’s where the CS shines. BMW has re-tuned the adaptive suspension, steering, and braking system to give the car a sharper, more connected feel compared to the M3 Competition.
The braking system also gets an upgrade. Buyers can opt for the standard steel brakes, available in red or black, or choose carbon-ceramic brakes in gold or red. These are lighter and hold up better during hard, repeated braking.
The car rides on forged alloy wheels—19 inches at the front and 20 at the rear. You can choose between a matte black or matte bronze finish, both of which give the car a strong, performance look.

Lighter with Carbon Fiber
To make the M3 CS even sharper, BMW used a lot of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP). You’ll find it on the hood, roof, front splitter, rear diffuser, mirrors, and even on the grille.
Carbon fiber is also used extensively inside, including on the trim elements, shift paddles, and bucket seats. Altogether, the CS is about 33 pounds lighter than a regular M3 Competition Touring. It might not sound like much, but every bit of weight loss helps when you’re chasing better lap times.
