Overview
The Porsche Panamera Turbo of 2025 is not your typical high-end vehicle.. It blends the comfort and class of a high-end four-door car with the power and excitement you’d expect from a sports car. This new Turbo model is fast, aggressive, and full of new tech, all while staying true to Porsche’s performance-first philosophy.
Under the hood, the Panamera Turbo packs serious strength. It comes with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers over 670 horsepower (in the Turbo E-Hybrid version), making it one of the most powerful Panameras ever built. It’s paired with a smooth 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, offering lightning-fast gear shifts and power delivery.
This car doesn’t just go fast—it feels confident and smooth whether you’re speeding down the highway or taking tight corners. Porsche has fine-tuned the suspension for a sportier feel, but it still gives a refined and comfortable ride.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2025 Porsche Panamera comes with different engine options depending on the model. The regular Panamera and Panamera 4 have a 2.9-liter twin-turbo The primary distinction between the Panamera 4’s all-wheel drive and the base model’s rear-wheel drive is this.
If you choose a plug-in hybrid model like the 4 E-Hybrid or 4S E-Hybrid, you still get the same V6 engine, but with an added electric motor. While the 4S E-Hybrid produces 536 horsepower, the 4 E-Hybrid produces 463 horsepower.
For those wanting more power, the Panamera GTS comes with a larger 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that gives out 493 horsepower. Additionally, it has a sportier suspension system that is stronger and lower. This makes the car more performance-focused, but the ride can feel a bit rough on normal roads.
All Panameras come equipped with an adjustable air suspension system that adjusts to the driving conditions. You can also get rear-wheel steering as an extra feature. On hybrid models, there’s a special suspension system powered by the car’s electric setup to make the ride smoother by controlling how much the car leans or shifts during turns.
In comparison to comparable luxury sedans, the Panamera has a stiffer ride overall. It’s built more for sporty driving than for comfort. It also has different drive modes like Sport and Sport Plus that make the ride even stiffer. However, one thing that stands out negatively is the road noise. During our drive, we noticed that tire and pavement noise were louder inside the cabin compared to some competitors.
0–60 MPH Acceleration
In tests, the standard rear-wheel-drive Panamera hit 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. The Panamera 4, with an estimated time of 4.3 seconds, is slightly quicker. Even faster are hybrid versions. According to Porsche, the 4S E-Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds, and we believe it could even surpass that time. The sporty GTS version is also fast, with a 0–60 time of 3.6 seconds.
Range, Charging, and Battery
Both the 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid come with a 21.8-kWh battery and an 11-kW onboard charger. Using a home AC charger, it takes around 2.5 hours to fully recharge. The car can also use its gas engine to recharge the battery up to 80% while cruising over 34 mph. With a full charge, you can expect about 30 miles of driving on electric power alone.
Fuel Economy
The regular Panamera gets 18 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the interstate, and 21 mpg overall, according to EPA estimates. Compared to comparable cars like the Audi S7 or BMW 840i, that is rather less. The Panamera 4 has the same ratings as the base version. Hybrid models haven’t been officially rated yet, but in one of our highway tests, the base model managed an impressive 32 mpg at 75 mph. We’ll share more results as we test the other versions.
Interior, Comfort, and Storage
Inside, the Panamera can seat four or five people, depending on whether you choose bucket seats or a bench in the back. Leather seats come standard, and you can upgrade to higher-end leather for a more luxurious feel. The front seats can be adjusted for comfort or for a sportier grip during fast driving.
Rear-seat passengers should feel comfortable on long trips, as long as it’s not too crowded. Despite its sporty appearance, the Panamera is a practical vehicle since its trunk is large enough for big bags or a hefty grocery haul.

Infotainment and Tech
The Panamera has a 12.6-inch digital gauge screen behind the steering wheel and a 10.9-inch touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. You can also add another screen on the passenger side for more entertainment.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and there’s a wireless charging pad for your phone. For music lovers, there’s a Bose 14-speaker system available, or an even better Burmester system with 21 speakers if you want top-notch sound.
